Exalogic Virtual: How To Allocate Reserved IP's To vDC Account From EMOC For Creating New Servers? (Doc ID 2564357.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

Goal

Once you assign a particular Network to vDC account and set a limit to that Network, by default the limit for IP addresses you set on that particular network will be the Reserved IP's. Reserved IP's are not yet allocated to vDC account. So reserved IP's are not listed as available when you create a vserver. For assigning a particular network IP to vserver during creation you will have to first allocate the reserved IP's for a network to the vDC account.

This MOS Note provides detailed steps for allocating the reserved IP's to vDC account.
