Goal

This KM doc shows how to "Create an Entry Like the Selected Entry" without Using ODSM or OUDSM.

In the ODSM / OUDSM Data Browser tab, an entry can be created like an existing entry by clicking on the icon (highlighted below) -


 

For example -

When selecting the user - uid=user.0 and then clicking on the "Create an Entry Like the Selected Entry" icon, the right panel shows the title -
Create new User entry like uid=user.0,ou=People,dc=example,dc=com
which is populated with the uid=user.0 attribute values -


 

The values are modified to create a new user with unique uid and cn values (as well as modifying other values in this example) -

 

The user is created by clicking on the Create button -
