Facing "Invalid ID or password. Please try again" for various reasons when logging into the workspace (Doc ID 2575362.1)

Symptoms

After configuring a load balancer for https access to the bpm workspace the login begins to fail.   You'll see a page similiar to as if you had entered a wrong username/password:


The message displayed is "Invalid Id or Password. Please try again."

 

After reviewing the HTTP traffic you may see 403 response code similar to this:

 

Also, the error could occur for another reason, such as if the front end host was specified incorrectly (such as to a private ip).  In otherwords this error can have multiple causes (when there may be no exception in the log files)
