Symptoms

WebLogic 12.2.1.2 server becomes unresponsive: VMError::report_and_die
 
Performing stress tests for a third party application deployed to a cluster of WebLogic 12.2.1.2 servers. During these stress tests, unexpectedly, one managed server (randomly) becomes unresponsive. The server appears to be running in
WebLogic console, but the health is unreachable and no statistics can be collected. In addition to that, the server stops logging.

A java trace dump is generated:

The OS is HP-UX 11.31 and the JDK version is HP JDK 1.8.0.17
