Goal

OracleAS TopLink is an advanced tool which bridges object oriented and relational technology.
Primarily, TopLink is used to map either regular Java objects or EJBs to relational databases.

TopLink does this in a manner which allows developers to separate the implementation of
business classes from the details of how they are stored. Complex object relationships are
also saved and restored. For more information, please refer to
<Document:206929.1> "What is TopLink?" and search 'History of TopLink'

Note: Eclipselink is the recommended persistence provider for new development as of Fusion Middleware release 11.1.1.0.1.
