JFR files Are Kept in File System When WLS Crash (Doc ID 2585559.1)

JFR files under configured repository directory are left when WebLogic server crash or is forcefully killed.

When the following configuration is set in JAVA_OPTIONS of WebLogic and later on the java process crash, some files are left under <REPOSITORY DIR>.

-XX:FlightRecorderOptions=defaultrecording=true,disk=true,repository=<REPOSITORY DIR>,maxage=2h,settings=default
