Symptoms

In Oracle Access Manager 12.2.1.3.0 after authenticating using a custom authentication plugin, when a subsequent federated authentication is performed with OAM acting as the Identity Provider (IdP), a java.lang.NullPointerException is logged in the error log:

When used without any federation involved in the authentication flow, the authentication scheme works successfully.
