Getting ADF_FACES-30200 Errors When Attempting to Edit Pages Migrated from a Custom WebCenter Portal Framework Application to WebCenter Spaces and then WebCenter Portal 12c (Doc ID 2588627.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to edit Portal Pages migrated from 11g Framework Application to Spaces and then upgraded to 12c, the following error occurs.

ERROR

ADF_FACES-30200:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: The UIViewRoot is null. Fatal exception during PhaseId: RESTORE_VIEW 1


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Migrate a Portal Framework Application to WebCenterPortal Spaces using the migrateFrameworkApplicationToWebCenter command.

  2. Upgrade WebCenter Portal from 11g to 12c.

  3. Edit a page from the migrated portal.
    Here the error occurs.
