Goal
Why Does Iplanet Web Proxy Server Change HTTP-Headers to lower case (with the exception of the first character)?
When proxying responses back to the client, Oracle iPlanet Web Proxy Server changes HTTP headers to all lower case, except in the case of the first character. For example:
Example-HTTP-Header
will be translated to Example-http-header
This behavior is purposeful, and although perhaps not desirable in all situations, is compliant with RFC 2616.
