Locale In Phase Listener Not Applied On Date Picker With formatting-locale

Symptoms
Setting formatting-locale in trinidad-config.xml is set to a locale (f.ex: es-ES) and in a the custom phase listener the page locale is set to another (f.ex: en-US) using setLocale().
The page is displayed to in locale following getLocale in phase listener, but locale from setLocale() is not applied to af:inputDate's date picker. Instead month names in date picker are in local from formatting-locale (f.ex: Spanish) instead of the one set by setLocale() (f.ex: English.)
