Uploading a file in WebCenter Portal Results in Error: An Item With The Specified Name Already Exists. (Doc ID 2610922.1)

Symptoms

 

When attempting to upload a file from Content Manager in WeCenter Portal, the following error occurs.
 
ERROR

An item with the specified name already exists.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Connect to WebCenter portal.

  2. Navigate to the Documents page in a portal.

  3. Upload the document.
    Here you will get the error.

Note the error only happens with some files.
