Symptoms

Using a Microsoft SQL Server as a Database to hold the Metadata Repository schemas for Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c products.

After installing the FMW Infrastructure, while running the Repository Creation Utility (RCU), the following error occurs on the Connection Details screen:

The SQL Server is set up to require SSL for any connections, a non-SSL port is not available to connect to.
