Symptoms

Replicat abend for goldengate with BDA replicating to S3

java.nio.charset.MalformedInputException: Input length = 4

  at oracle.goldengate.datasource.UserExitDataSource.createColumnValue(UserExitDataSource.java:1027) [ggdbutil-12.3.2.1.1.005.jar:12.3.2.1.1.005]
Exception in thread "main" oracle.goldengate.util.GGException: Unable to decode column 3 : Input length = 4
  at oracle.goldengate.datasource.UserExitDataSource.createColumnValue(UserExitDataSource.java:1098)

That trail record is invalid and should be traced to the capture side on why we wrote such a trail record. 

dfd3 charaterset is not able to identified by OGGBD even after using the REPLACEBADCHAR parameter.
