Symptoms

During installation of the ADF Desktop Integration Add-in for Excel (ADFdi), the user encounters this error:

The .NET Framework 4.5.2 or later is not installed (ADFDI-04001)

However, upon further investigation, it is confirmed that the .NET Framework 4.5.2 or later is in fact installed on the machine.

Update: the problem described in this note is specific to the exe-based installer (i.e. adfdi-excel-addin-installer.exe). It does not affect the MSI-based installers.
