Editing a KM Option from ODI 12c Mapping Opens 'Edit Value' Instead of 'Edit Expression' Window and is Missing List of Variables and Sequences (Doc ID 2627285.1)

Symptoms

When editing the Knowledge Module Options from within an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c Mapping, the "Expression Editor" is not opened, but instead an "Edit Value" window.

The "Edit Value" windows does not have the option to search for existing variables.

This used to work in ODI 11g.

To reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open a Mapping.
  2. Go to Physical tab. Select the Knowledge Module (KM).
  3. In the Properties, select an option with an expression.
  4. Notice that the "Edit Value" comes up instead of "Edit Expression".
