PartitionCache MapEvent Piling Up Over Time Leading To OOME (Doc ID 2634395.1)

Last updated on MAY 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the 12.2.1.3.x.x clusters, the servers are filled with Partitioned Cache MapEvents over the time, eventually leading to an OOME on the Cache Servers. The MapEvent leak can be observed monitoring any Cache Server JVM with JVisualVM and checking the number of instances of com.tangosol.coherence.component.util.daemon.queueProcessor.service.grid.partitionedService.PartitionedCache$MapEvent. However, the near caches configured and some custom MapListeners but removing the near cache has not improved the problem, so the leak must arise from somewhere else.
