Error On Ftping File To Another Server Using HOST From Forms (Doc ID 263448.1)

Applies to:

Oracle Forms - Version 6.0.8 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)

Symptoms

 The file is being ftped from the system where the form is being run to another Unix box.

1. The ftp is working when the script is run from the command prompt.

2. The ftp does not work, when the script is run using HOST from form.

3. Trap the error by giving the following in HOST -
HOST('/bin/abc.sh 2>> /bin/error.txt') , so that error can be logged into error.txt

Error :
/bin/abc.sh: ftp: not found
No control connection for command: Broken pipe
No control connection for command: Broken pipe
No control connection for command: Broken pipe
