Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

JSON schemas are not recognized by bridge File System (Delimited, Fixed Width, Excel, XML, JSON, Avro, Parquet, ORC, COBOL Copybook)

There are several symptoms:

1. Semantic mapping in Explorer for harvested Json schemas is not possible because the "map" or "classify" field/button is greyed out for Json schemas.

When trying to create a semantic mapping in OEMM manager you get the message that only data models or BI objects may be part of a semantic mapping.

2. The Json schema syntax (be it version 04 or version 07) use the "oneOf" to describe alternative data content. In some cases the alternatives represent grouped objects (a hierarchical sub structure) with its own set of data elements or sub-sub hierarchies.
