OUD 11g/12c - Is it Possible to Remove or Disable the "cn=changelog" Suffix for Replication Use Case? (Doc ID 2645461.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Can cn=changelog be removed or disabled in replication use case?

Background:
- replication enabled environment
- client application(eg, RSA Authentication Manager) internally accesses oud subbranches including Root DSE & cn=changelog(when it enabled)
- some search case(depending on client search condition) oud returns back no records(eg, nentries=0) , this impacts the client application throwing NullPointerException

The requirement is how to remove cn=changelog in OUD so that can prevent the client exception from accessing this subbranch.
