OUD 11g/12c - How to Export an LDIF without (excluding) Replication Data / Tombstones (Doc ID 2646883.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

By default when running the export-ldif command it includes replication data (entries beginning with "ds-sync") and tombstones.

Those replication attributes starting with "ds-sync" are operational attributes.
Tombstones are created by default when entries are deleted.
If many entries have been deleted and the tombstones have not been purged, the LDIF can contain those tombstone entries.
