Error Transforming Document and Invalid file ID Errors When Opening PDF's in WebCenter Content: Imaging (Doc ID 2652155.1)

Symptoms

When viewing PDF documents, the following error occurs in both the Basic and Advanced Imaging Viewers. TIF documents can be viewed without error.

Viewer Error:

Error Transforming Document

Imaging Diagnostic Log Error:

<Error rendering object oracle.imaging.RenderingException: There was an error launching the external transformation process: /<filepath>/00n/IPM/123/456/789/ver1/img<string-of-digits>.tmp
Error : 1 - invalid file ID
at oracle.imaging.rendering.OPTransformEngine.runExport(OPTransformEngine.java:554)

AND/OR:


Error transforming document[[oracle.imaging.ImagingException: TCM-07048: Error transforming document faultType: SYSTEM
faultDetails: ErrorCode = oracle.imaging.RenderingException, ErrorMessage = There was an error launching the external transformation process: /tmp//.pdf
Error : 1 - invalid file ID at oracle.imaging.pagecache.XformedDocCacheLoader.loadXFormedDocCache(XformedDocCacheLoader.java:107)

AND/OR:

Document n.IPM_123456789 failed image conversion and cannot be stored in the cache at this time.
