ODI 12c Parser Removes Comma (,) from Executed Jython Code (Doc ID 2663231.1)

Last updated on MAY 01, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), a mapping uses a custom knowledge module that transfers files through Linux pipes uses threads to decrease load time.

The knowledge module contains code to initiate the threading, which is parsed for execution as:

threading.Thread(target=os.system,args=(unloadcmd,))

This works in ODI 11g, however, in ODI 12c, the comma (,) after "unloadcmd" is removed.

threading.Thread(target=os.system,args=(unloadcmd))

This change causes the execution to fail with a message like the following:

com.sunopsis.tools.core.exception.SnpsSimpleMessageException: ODI-17517: Error during task interpretation.
Task: 30
com.sunopsis.tools.core.exception.SnpsSimpleNLSMessageException: ODI-17810: Error during BeanShell evaluation: The application script threw an exception: com.sunopsis.tools.core.exception.SnpsSimpleMessageException: Exception getSchemaName("ODI REPOSITORY", "D") : SnpLschema "ODI REPOSITORY" doesnt exist BSF info: null at line: 0 column: columnNo, Pre-execution code:
