Historical Date In Ofrdocument And Ofrfields Table (Doc ID 2663774.1)

Symptoms

When running a report on tables ofr.ofrdocument and OFR.OFRFIELDS which assist in understanding the status of invoices processed through the system there are too many tables.
Reports have become too slow and taking too much time to complete. These tables have grown to enormous sizes.

How would one remove historical data that is no longer needed from these tables?

Statistics :
SQL> select count(*) from ofr.ofrdocument;

SQL> select count(*) from OFR.OFRFIELDS;


Changes
If there are changes in the environment, product, account and hardware that trigger the problem describe them.
