Exalogic Virtual 2.0.6.4.X: usb0 Interface Shown As Enabled For Dom0 Compute Nodes In OVM Manager BUI Console (Doc ID 2672815.1)

Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual 2.0.6.4.X Virtual racks, issue of usb0 interface shown as being enabled for Dom0 Compute Nodes is noticed in OVM Manager BUI console. This can be verified from OVM Manager BUI console by using below steps.

  1. Login to OVM Manager BUI as "admin" user.
  2. Go to Servers and VMs tab
  3. Expand Server Pools and Expand Pool Name.
  4. Click on Compute Node.
  5. On the right hand side from Perspective dropdown select "Ethernet Ports"
  6. Check if you see any interface name as usb0

When checking if usb0 interface is enabled on Dom0 Compute nodes we notice that usb0 is actually disabled on Dom0 Compute Nodes. Following are commands to validate whether usb0 is enabled on Dom0 Compute Nodes.

Changes

 Reboot of Compute Nodes.
