Symptoms
The default String length on the File Technology in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is set to a value by the user, such as 100. However, when reverse engineering a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file to create a model, the created attributes are set to a length of 50. In addition, when the models are again reverse-engineered, any changes made to attribute data types, lengths, or scales, is removed and the attribute is set to a String with a size of 50.
