KM Expression Editor not Showing Project Level Options to Select for ODI Global KMs (Doc ID 2681996.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c for a global level Knowledge Modules (KM), when opening the KM options directly from a mapping, only the global variables and sequences are seen, but there are no project level variables and sequences available for selection.

In 11g, any project level variables and sequences are available for selection when editing KMs.

To reproduce:

  1. Create project level variable and sequence
  2. Create a mapping using a global KM
  3. Open the mapping, go to physical tab
  4. Select the datastore, go to the IKM
  5. Attempt to edit an option

    => notice that only global objects appear for selection
