Goal

WebLogic server supports SNMPv1, SNMPv2 and SNMPv3 Protocols. Compared with prior versions SNMPv3 adds additional security features such as user-based authentication service and privacy service for encrypting and decrypting SNMP messages. Therefore there are extra steps required when configuring WebLogic SNMP Agent for secure communication using SNMPv3 protocol. This document will provide detailed steps for configuring this through the Admin Console
