Enhancement Request to Map EXIF Metadata Of Image From WCC Placeholder Metadata To WCS Attributes. (Doc ID 2685731.1)

Last updated on JULY 02, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Sites - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Is it possible to extract EXIF metadata from their images, sync its value with Webcenter Sites, mapping it with a WCS attribute.

I have configured:
1- WCC+IBR+DAM to get the image conversions. I can see the "Image Data" in the doc info of the image in WCC.
2- I have select the EXIF metadata in DAM Administration of WCC. Now I can see the EXIF metadata in the Search form, and I can search using it.
3- I go to WCS -> Connector Admin -> Rules and create a new rule. When I try to map an attribute with a WCC metadata, the EXIF metadata doesn't appear in the list.

Do you know if there is another way to get this mapping? Perhaps, creating a database metadata instead of a placeholder? By default, the exif metadata is just a placeholder...
