(Doc ID 2697721.1)
Last updated on APRIL 01, 2021
Applies to:
Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.0 to 12.2.1.4.200618 [Release 12c]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) substitution methods, like getTargetColLit() and getColList(), do not pick UserDefined (UD) columns while extracting the column Expression to form the select query of a SQL merge statement. As a result of this, the expression for columns with only UD flag attribute selected are created as an empty string ('') and not the actual out-of-the-box or custom expressions.
Example:
- A mapping is designed on ODI 12.2.1.4.0 which has User Defined logic defined on the knowledge module.
- The knowledge module used for this Mapping is "IKM Teradata SCD (Business Data). This is a customized knowledge module to use the User Defined logic.
- The knowledge module uses substitution methods like getTargetColList and getColList().
