Extract Executable Failed to Abend during a Network Outage (Doc ID 2699295.1)

Symptoms

While running a hub configuration with remote integrated extract there was a major network problem that affected multiple communications.

At HUB machine, we can see at sqlnet.log file that extract database connection received the error.

As a consequence of this, the Integrated Extract process should've abended, but it did not.

At databases alert.log files, we can see IE components stopped properly.

Extract did not abend due to the network interruption and had to be killed and restarted.

Manager process is configured to try to restart an abended process. Since the extract did not abend, the lag just increased.
