2-Way SSL HandShake Fails if Outbound Connection isn't Enabled
(Doc ID 2701066.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Handshake is failing between AdminServer and a managed server after configuring 2-way SSL with a self-signed certificate, but the same situation is valid for a certificate issued by a CA.
Only the managed server was configured with 2-way SSL as seen in the <DOMAIN>/config/config.xml file:
Somehow the client wasn't presenting its certificate, hence handshake failed.
