"Native Format Builder: Error" with a Blank Error Is Displayed when Generating XSD for a JSON File (Doc ID 2706000.1)

Symptoms

Error is received when generating XSD schema for a JSON (complex file):

 

 

NOTE: In the images and/or examples, user details/company name/address/email/ telephone number all represent a fictitious sample from the Oracle Demo Vision Database. Any similarity to actual companies or actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and is in no way intentional on the part of Oracle.

 

To reproduce:

  1. Login to ODI Studio
  2. Navigate to Topology > Complex File. Right click to create new Data Server.
  3. Navigate to the JDBC string and select Edit nXSD.
  4. Select JSON interchange format.
  5. Point the "File name" to a json file that has either null values or empty strings as seen above:
  6. Click Ok and observe the error.
