"Cannot Read Property 'set' Of Undefined" Error When Creating a New Asset (Doc ID 2706041.1)

When creating a new Flex Asset in the Contributor UI, the following error can be seen in the browser console when the form is loaded:

This issue only happens occurs when there are no templates assigned to the asset type.
