After Upgrade To ORDS 20.2 "ORDS" Error Information is Not Log in the Error_log Anymore (Doc ID 2711080.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle REST Data Services - Version 20.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 20.2 version

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
After upgrading ORDS to version 20.2 from 19.2.x, error information is no longer logged in the web server error_log file.

After the upgrade, any PL/SQL or ORA errors that were logged into Web Server error_log  are no longer written to that file.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Error information and ORDS parameters should be written to the Web Server error_log.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Upgraded ORDS and deployed to a Web Server.
2. Run a URL known to cause an error and check the log file.  The error is no longer written to error_log.
3. This was working ORDS 19.2
4. If ORDS 20.2 is started in standalone mode the information is logged as expected.
