Document Manager Preview Shows a Blank Page when Viewing Documents (Doc ID 2712957.1)

Symptoms

Document Manager Preview Shows a Blank Page When Viewing Documents.

The issue reproduces in the following cases:

STEPS

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps when displaying large documents in sub folders: 

  1. Create a portal and enable Document Service.
     
  2. Add a page link to the Documents page.
     
  3. View the Portal.

  4. Navigate to the Documents page.
     
  5. Create the following folders:

    [PORTAL-FOLDER] -> Test Folder -> Sub Folder
     
  6. Upload a large file under the Sub Folder.
     
  7. Click the document link to open it in preview.
    You will see the document shows as blank.
     
  8. Refresh the page using the browser refresh.
    This time the document will display in preview.

Note: Same issue happens adding the Content Manager Task Flow to a page.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps when the content manager task flow is set to show a custom folder and the document is in a sub folder: 

  1. Create a portal and enable Document Service.
     
  2. Create a page and add the content manager taskflow.
     
  3. Publish the page.
     
  4. View the Portal.
     
  5. Navigate to the page with the content manager task flow.
     
  6. Create the following folders:
     
    [PORTAL-FOLDER] -> Test Folder -> Sub Folder
     
  7. Upload a file under Test Folder.
     
  8. Upload a file under Sub Folder.
     
  9. Edit the portal.

    • Edit the page with the content manager task flow.

    • Click anywhere inside the content manager task flow, and then click Configure.

    • Set the content task flow to point to the Test Folder.

    • Save the changes.

  10. View the Portal.
     
  11. Navigate to the page with the content manager task flow.
     
  12. View the document under the TestFolder.
    You will see the document displays without issues.
     
  13. View the document under the SubFolder.
    You will see the document shows as blank.
     
  14. Refresh the page using the browser refresh.
    This time the document will display in preview.
