EBS Portlet Dispalys Error "Portlet Consumer Error" in WebCenter Portal Page (Doc ID 2716949.1)

Symptoms

An EBS portlet displays below error on a WebCenter Portal page:

"Portlet Consumer error"

The managed server log shows:

[<TIMESTAMP>] [wc_portal1] [ERROR] [] [oracle.portlet.binding] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '11' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USERID>] [ecid: <eCID>] [APP: webcenter] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [DSID:<DSID>] An error has occurred for Portlet Binding <PORTLET_ID>.[[
oracle.adf.model.portlet.binding.PortletBindingException: Unable to get portlet response for portlet instance ID portlets/<PORTLET_ID> for portlet binding <PORTLET_ID>.
