EBS MA Extra Parameters Date Field Has Invalid Format (Doc ID 2720694.1)

Goal

EBS MA Integration is using two extra date field parameters.
The DOB field is coming as 19-MAY-1920 without any special characters.
The Startdate is coming as 15-AUG-2019 without any special characters.

But the checkin service fails with the below message

Content item 'UKSBS_484985' was not successfully checked in. The field 'Employee DOB' does not contain a valid date. Unable to parse date '19-MAY-1920'. Failed to find text '/' in its proper location.

The date format should come as 19/05/1920 on the form. How to fix this?
