Symptoms
Provisioning users from Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) 11.1.2.3 to ServiceNow 11.1.1.5 (or any REST-based target). Users with names containing special characters are altered to remove those characters before they are inserted in ServiceNow.
For example:
Original first name: Bjørn-One
In ServiceNow, first name: Bj<?>rn-One or Bjorn-One
This affects a wide range of characters with tildes, apostrophes, and other locale-specific or language specific characters.
