Error "Unable to set inventory" When Running the WebCenter Content: Imaging Installer (Doc ID 2730666.1)

Symptoms

Upgrading WebCenter Content: Imaging from 11.1.1.8 to 11.1.1.9. When starting the installer, it fails with the following error:

Starting Oracle Universal Installer...

Preparing to launch Oracle Universal Installer from /tmp/OraInstall2020-11-19_08-17-40PM. Please wait ...[exploit@plc112] /no_save_C112/install/Disk1 > Unable to set inventory.
[ERROR]: Error in initializing the log values
oracle.as.install.engine.exception.LogInitializeException: Insufficient space to create the log files at the specified inventory location. Create space under the specified inventory null or point to a different inventory
