Standard Reverse Engineering ODI Models Do Not Reverse Comments Metadata (Doc ID 2733275.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 07, 2020

Oracle Data Integrator - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) models do not contain database comment metadata for the tables and columns after a standard reverse engineer. It is expected that they would be in the Description field for the datastore and the attributes.

This can be replicated by creating a table on the database, and adding comments for the table and the columns.

1. Create table in database and add comments to both table and as well to columns and reverse the table in ODI.

2. Reverse engineer the created table using standard reverse engineer.
