ORABPEL-30511/ORABPEL-10509 during login to the BPM Workspace after configuring a new provider (Doc ID 2733712.1)

Symptoms

After configuring the authentication provider with MS AD the user login fails on the BPM workspace.
The logs just show that the user is not found:

exception.code:30511
exception.type: ERROR
exception.severity: 2
exception.name: Verification Service cannot resolve user identity.
exception.description: User <username> cannot be found in the identity repository.
exception.fix: Workflow Context token cannot be null in request.
