Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.200123 to 12.2.1.4.210517
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Running a mapping in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4.x that uses a SORT component fails in SQL Server with the following error:
"The ORDER BY clause is invalid in views, inline functions, derived tables, subqueries, and common table expressions, unless TOP, OFFSET or FOR XML is also specified."

For example, the issue occurs when running a mapping which loads data from an SQL Server table to Hyperion Essbase using "IKM SQL to Hyperion Essbase (METADATA)".

The same issue happens when using other Knowledge Modules as well.
