State Parameter In 'Redirect Resource To Authz Server' is Not Removed as Expected (Doc ID 2737297.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While using the "Redirect resource owner to authorization server" filter in the Oauth client in OAG 11.1.2.4, the filter failed to remove the state parameter from the cache.
Filter 'Redirect resource to authz server' generates its own state parameter and maintains this in cache. In this case, a vendor will send an optional state parameter which should be returned when the authorization code is generated and sent back to the vendor.

Using the 'Redirect resource to authz server' filter in this flow gives the following error:

"text":"run filter [Redirect resource owner to Authz Server] {"},
"text":"Found state parameter in query string"},
"text":"Removing state param:NewStateParam from the cache"},
"text":"Problem removing stateID NewStateParam from the state cache"},
"text":"} =3D 2, filter [Redirect resource owner to Authz Server]"},
"text":"Filter [Redirect resource owner to Authz Server] completes in 1 milliseconds."},
"text":"Filter that caused failure: Redirect resource owner to Authz Server"},
