Browser Is Not Invoked When Testing FSAL and SSO (Doc ID 2746581.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Forms - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Oracle Forms for OCI - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An attempt is made to test Forms with FSAL (Forms Standalone Launcher) and SSO. When the test form is called from the command line using java -jar frmsal.jar, the browser does not open so the user can enter the username and password. Instead the html page appears in text format in the command window along with this error:

FRM-92492: Wrong applet definition with or or without configuration parameters was received from the server. The content is displayed below for diagnostic purposes.

The test form runs without error using SSO when called from IE using the applet.
