Package Scenario Fails With "HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Time-out" when Using an OCI Load Balancer in Front of ODI 11g J2EE Agent (Doc ID 2749747.1)

Symptoms

In an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11.1.1.9 environment, having J2EE Agent deployed on two Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) computes nodes with an OCI Load Balancer in front, there is a package scenario that calls a child scenario using OdiStartScen object in Synchronous Mode.

OCI Load Balancer has a timeout of 60 seconds. The child scenario runs longer than 60 seconds. The calling package terminates with the error below while the child scenario is still running and completes successfully.

If the timeout of OCI Load Balancer is increased to exceed the runtime of the child scenario in this way the issue doesn't occurs but this cannot be a valid solution since the child scenario can run for several hours.
