Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Providing An Invalid Password While Using The OAuth Calls Will Not Increase The Oblogintrycount Value (Doc ID 2757889.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.3.180417 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why does the oblogintrycount not increase with the OAuth Calls?

Scenario

  • While testing the OAuth Calls in postman to retrieve access tokens and when giving a wrong password, the oblogintrycount value doesn't increase when invalid password was provided using the OAuth which in turn doesn't lock the account.
  • Although the oblogintrycount and oblockedon are working as expected on Agent based authentication using OAM webgates configured on the same environment as where we have OAuth Configured.
