Imaging Unified Viewer Has Been Configured However The Page Launches With Error "Server error occurred. Contact your site administrator." (Doc ID 2759853.1)

Symptoms

Installed the 12.2.1.4 WebCenter Content: Imaging suite.

Applied the latest Oracle WebCenter Content Patch to get the "Unified Viewer/ADFViewer" functionality by setting the "ViewerAdfByDefault" mbean attribute property to true. 

There is an error in the UI:

Server error occurred.  Contact your site administrator.

Error in the Imaging-diagnostic.log:
