Attempting to Empty the Documents Trash Folder in WebCenter Portal Fails With : Error executing WebCenter Content service 'FLD_EMPTY_TRASH' (Doc ID 2762258.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to empty the Documents Trash folder in WebCenter Portal, the following error is displayed:

ERROR

Error executing WebCenter Content service 'FLD_EMPTY_TRASH': Unable to empty trash. You do not have permission for 'delete' operation on '<FILE_NAME>' file. (status code: -1, message key: !csFldUnableToEmptyTrash!csFldNoPermissionToFileOperation,delete,<FILE_NAME>)

 
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Connect to WebCenter Portal.
     
  2. Navigate to the affected portal and select the Documents page / content task flow.
     
  3. Select Browse -> Trash.
     
  4. Click "Empty" to empty the trash folder.
    Here the error occurs.
