(Doc ID 2763447.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 17, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Access Manager - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
This note applies to any version of Oracle Access Manager (OAM).
Symptoms
Set up an Authentication (or Authorization) Policy to retrieve ${request.res_host} value, per Documentation
- OAM 11.1.2.3.x, Home / Middleware / Oracle Access Management, Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Access Management, 25.13 Introduction to Policy Responses for SSO, Table 25-30 Complex Responses
- OAM 12.2.1.3.x, MiddlewareIdentity Management (IdM)Access ManagerRelease 12.2.1.3, Administering Oracle Access Management, 25 Managing Policies to Protect Resources and Enable SSO, Table 25-30 Complex Responses
However, res_host does not hold the website domain hostname, instead, it shows the WebGate's Agent name.
In the Authentication's Response, tried to retrieve ${request.res_host}:${request.res_port}${request.res_url}
but the Header trace shows as my_webgate_name/my_protected_resource.html
- ${request.res_host} has returned my_webgate_name
- ${request.res_port} has returned 0 (zero)
- ${request.res_url} has returned my_protected_resource.html
Set up a policy to retrieve the res_host information and an HTTP Header and COOKIE, but see the same results
Expected the res_host and res_port returned to be the Website's host and port.
