Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
The default Tab set in the Documents Settings Page in WebCenter Portal reverts back to the default PREVIEW_TAB when starting managed servers in High Availability (HA) Setup.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the changes to the default tab are persisted when restarting the WebCenter Portal managed servers.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- On an HA setup ensure all Portal managed servers in the cluster are started.
- Connect to WebCenter Portal.
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- Note the default tab name is set to: PREVIEW_TAB
- Set the default tab name to: SUMMARY_TAB
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- Shutdown all Portal managed servers.
- Start just one Portal managed server.
e.g.: WC_Portal1
- Connect to WebCenter Portal using the WC_Portal1 managed server URL.
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- Confirm the default tab name still shows: SUMMARY_TAB
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- Start another WC_Spaces managed server.
e.g.: WC_Portal2
- Connect to WebCenter Portal using the WC_Portal1 managed server URL.
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- Confirm the default tab name still shows: SUMMARY_TAB
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- Connect to WebCenter Portal using the WC_Portal2 managed server URL.
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
- You will see the default tab name in this managed server is back to: PREVIEW_TAB
- Go to Administration -> Tools and Services -> Documents Settings.
